- What
is my System ID, what version of software do I have, and how do
I get updates?
You
can find the System ID and software version by clicking on
in the toolbar. You will be notified of any software updates when
you start eGigVision® while connected to the internet. You will then
be given a choice whether to download and install the latest
version.
You
do not need an internet connection to run eGigVision®. A internet
connection is required however to register the software and to
automatically receive any software updates.
- Do
I need additional software to display my laptop/LCD in portrait
mode?
The software will display in the default mode of the
monitor it is on. However, during performance, each connected screen
may be configured to appear in either landscape of portrait
mode.
- Where
can I find songs to load into my system?
You may not legally load any copyrighted material into
eGigVision® at this time. However, there are plenty of songs in the
public domain and you can of course use any original material.
- Can
I send different instrument keys to each individual screen?
Using the "concert" key is a method to organize
your music. Lets say a song is entered in the concert key of
"C". The different parts could each be in entered in the
appropriate key for that instrument. When the song is chosen for
performance, each player would see a chart for their instrument, and
not have to do an on the spot transposition.
- How
do I purchase a keyboard shelf to mount on my music stand?
- When
I unplug the USB foot pedal and plug it back in, my computer
does not recognize the device and it searches for drivers.
How can I overcome this each time?
Each USB port keeps copies of drivers for each device
attached to it. The first time a device is plugged into a USB port,
the install new hardware dialog will appear. See the eGigvision®
"Help" file for further discussion.
- How
many separate screens will work with the system if I purchased
additional video cards?
Windows XP and Windows 2000 both support 10 additional
screens. If you need more than 10 screens, send an
email discussing your application and its requirements to us.
- I
have written original songs and loaded them into eGigVision®.
How can I get these files sent to a friend that also has this
system?
Use the Export functionality to dump the song to a file. You need
to know the System ID of your friend's eGigVision® installation. Send
the exported file which can then be Imported by your friend. See
the eGigvision® "Help" file for further discussion.
- In
performance mode, when I make my set list, I would like to
insert a song while in between songs. Can this be
accomplished or does eGigVision® place the song at the end of the
list?
You may right-click on a song in the Song List and perform
it any any time.
- What
formats of Audio files does eGigVision® support?
It will support any audio files that can be performed with the
Microsoft Media tool.
- I
want to play along with the audio files while reading my charts.
How do I get my keyboard/guitar mixed in with the signal so that
I can play along?
- Do
any of my local music stores carry the stands or USB pedals?
If so, do you have a list of locations?
If your local music store doesn't carry them, they can be
purchased at www.musicdispatch.com
.
- I
have multiple pages that go back to the Coda/D.S., how do I set
the page feature?
Look up "Set Performance Paging" under "Add
Song" in eGigVision® Help.
- Can
I save my set lists for each show? If so, how do I do
this?
Look up "Save As Set" under "Help
Topics" in eGigVision® Help.
- I
have an old Windows 95 machine and would like to load the
program. Do you support Windows 95?
eGigVision® will only run on machines with WIN2K (Windows
2000, XP) or later versions of the operating system.
- Are
there any plans for support on a Mac?
eGigVision® will only run in
Windows. However, if the MAC supports Windows (i.e., Boot Camp) it
can run eGigVision®.
For a custom solution, send an
email discussing your application and its requirements to us.
